My oldest son – Meet B

This is my oldest son, B.  He is 15 years old and he is the “baby” that introduced me to motherhood.  He has always been so special to me.   I was 18 years old when I had him and he has taught me so much about love and life.  He has taught me how to be unselfish.  He is such a sweet boy with lots of love to give.  He is the house comedian and he loves to practice his “routines” on us.  He always keeps me laughing and makes me feel like a silly, immature kid instead of a responsible mother – and I love it.

This year is B’s first year of being home schooled.  We live in an area where we felt there were not enough choices for schooling and so we decided to try our hand at homeschooling.  It has been a crazy ride, too.  His first day of school happened to coincide with the birth of his youngest brother, Manzy.  We are a little behind schedule but we are still hoping that B will be able to catch up…  We have learned a lot this year and we hope that we won’t make the same mistakes this new school year.  If you home school your child and have any tips for me or B, please leave us a comment – we would love to hear your suggestions.

Oh, and B watches way too much TV and is addicted to his iPod, but he also helps out around the house and loves his little brothers and sister.  He makes me happy.
