My Blankets for Brady's Smile Are Completed

October 14th, 2008 by Laurie

Last month, I was drawn to a post written by Erica over at 5 Minutes For Mom.  The original post was about participating in a blanket making project for an organization called Brady’s Smile, which donates fleece blankets to babies in the ICU.  I immediately signed up to donate a blanket.  Easy instructions for how to make the blankets were posted and so I began to gather supplies to make the blankets.  I got my daughter Gootie involved too since I thought that this would be an excellent project for her.  Gootie went with my sister to JoAnn Fabrics and had lots of fun picking out the fabric.  She was so excited that she choose fabrics for two different blankets.  One pattern is for a girl and the other pattern is for a boy.  The blankets are so soft and cozy that we even made one for Manzy while we were at it.  They were really easy to make and the best part of this project is knowing that they are going to be given to some special little babies.  Here are pictures of our finished blankets.
